Recently I posted a family favorite salad dressing with the intention of giving you more options. Here is another good dressing recipe for those who enjoy ranch dressing or have children who love to eat most anything dipped in ranch!
Keep in mind that it is difficult to find mayo that doesn’t have soybean oil or other suspicious ingredients. In the past I’ve used Hain safflower mayo (although the natural flavor ingredient could be anything) and now I’m using Wilderness Family Naturals mayo. It is quite a bit pricier but has organic, non GMO ingredients. If you are unfamiliar with GMO‘s do a bit of research online. There are many reasons to avoid them, the number one reason being, in my opinion, the uncertainty of long range health effects. Experiment with making your own if you are so inclined! There are many recipes online.
Enjoy!
- 1 c mayo (homemade if preferred)
- 1/2 c sour cream – I use full fat Daisy brand
- 1/2 t parsley
- 1/2 t dill
- 1/4 t garlic powder
- 1/4 t onion powder
- 1/8 t salt
- 1/8 t pepper
- Mix all ingredients.
- Use within one week.
